Switchboard Senior Assistant

Our client, global management consulting company, is looking for a Service Desk Senior Assistant to join their team based in Dublin. This is a 6 months contract with an hourly rate of €14.

You will be responsible for the day to day operation of the UK and Ireland Service Desk to ensure procedures are followed and company quality standards are met.

  • Answer and route incoming calls appropriately.
  • Maintain directory database with new direct dials being set up and deletion of past employees.
  • Processing all calls received through the internal and external switchboard number from employees, clients and external callers.
  • Processing all customer space requests in a timely and efficient.
  • Processing all customer facilities requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Execute any ad hoc duties as requested by the Service Desk Team Lead.
  • Provide support and assistance where needed, including training of team members as appropriate.
  • Respond to questions, queries and needs in accord with process and procedures.
  • Answer each call in a prompt, efficient, professional and friendly manner.
  • Escalate issues to the Line Manager as appropriate.


  • Native/Fluent English language
  • Previous contact centre experience, ideally in a large corporate environment
  • Experience of high volume call handling
  • Proficiency in MS Office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Experience in a customer-focused role
  • Flexibility
