Director - Tax Policy Group


Our client, a Big 4 firm, is seeking a Tax Director to join their Tax Policy Group. Dublin/Hybrid.

The Policy Team is a small group of dedicated tax professionals focused on local and international tax policy developments. Operating in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, the Policy Team stays abreast of changes in the international tax landscape including the introduction of Pillar 1 and Pillar 2 rules, as well as other EU and domestic reforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deepening your familiarity with new legislation and tax policy including the

  • Pillar 2 rules and supporting your team in their learning.

  • Partnering with client teams to ensure our clients are kept abreast of key developments and the impact on their business.

  • Reviewing and disseminating material relating to key policy developments.

  • Preparation of concise and coherent summaries of complex legislation.

  • Leading Training sessions for our colleagues and clients in relation to policy developments.

  • Drafting responses to governmental requests for feedback on legislation.

  • Developing our responses to various tax policy initiatives of the OECD, EU, Department of Finance and Revenue Commissioners.

  • Coaching team members and driving the team to make a difference and deliver results in a responsible, authentic and passionate manner.

  • Operating and collaborating effectively with a mindset that transcends geographic and cultural boundaries.

  • Working on attracting, developing and retaining the best talents for the firm.

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 10 years experience in international tax consulting.

  • Policy experience/significant exposure to Pillar 2

  • Big 4/Revenue/OECD or other relevant experience

  • Strong academic record with a Degree from any discipline and AITI/CTA qualification/equivalent overseas qualification.

  • Relationship management - ability to read situations and modify behaviour to build quality, diverse relationships.

  • Creative - demonstrate an ability to contribute to new ideas and propose innovative solutions to problems.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Enthusiastic team player with a passion to coach and encourage others to achieve their potential.

  • Ambitious – demonstrate strong commitment to personal learning and development.
